MLG Columbus and Starcraft, continued

in glhf

So the plot thickened a bit this morning. The line of reasoning that followed was that MLG got bumped off the weekend because they didn’t ask Blizzard in time to get licensed; and that Red Bull beat them to it.

But that got debunked.

So…pitchforks still not justified; but it still seems to have been a unilateral move by MLG.

Does it still mean a clean breakup between Starcraft and MLG? I still hold that’s very possible. I understand things were left ambiguous with Sundance’s tweet that kicked all this off – only mentioned Columbus in particular – but this circuit has a track record of not looking back once a game leaves the lineup. I’m sure the Starcraft scene putting Sundance on blast after this didn’t help things much, at the least.
